Sassy Girl Shaker Card Tutorial made with Echo Park Salon Paper and Sparkle Blends #TeamTinySparkleBlendsHop

Welcome to the Cards by Kendra blog!  I'm participating in the Team Tiny Sparkle Blends Hop over on YouTube and sharing this shaker card.   For this card, I used Sassy & Crafty's Sassy Girls OMG Stamp Set colored with copic markers.  I used Doodle's Paper Playground's Sparkle Blends called "Kiss a lot of Frogs".  I incorporated matching kiss themed papers from Echo Park's Salon collection paper pad.   As part of this hop, Doodle’s Paper Playground will be giving away a $10 credit to their Etsy shop for some Sparkle Blends to one random commenter, so be sure to comment on my YouTube video and let me know what you think of my card to enter to win!   Watch below or click on this link: https://youtu.be/CWNxoWOnxCo Supplies used to make this card: Sassy Girls OMG Stamp set https://shrsl.com/2owwb Kiss A Lot Of Frogs - Doodles Paper Playground: Sparkle Blends https://www.etsy.com/listing/83430542... Neenah Solar White 8 1/2" x 11" - 80# Car...

Mermaid Shaker Card Tutorial 7 Kids Crafts Bubble Babies #teamtinyundertheseahop

Hello and Welcome to Cards By Kendra!   It has been a while since I last posted.  I have been crafting, organizing and getting ready to move my craft room from my dining room to an empty bedroom. It's been A LOT of work! But I'm super excited because I'll have a lot more room and places for storage. Today, I'm so excited to participate in my first ever video hop #TeamTinyUnderTheSea with the group "Team Tiny"!  This group was created by Katharine Kelly to help small channels grow AND allow viewers to watch content AD-FREE (because YouTube does not show commercials on small channels).  This group is open to all crafters who create videos on Youtube that have less than 1k subscribers. If you would like to participate, please leave me a comment and I will let you know how to get involved.   When watching videos on Youtube, it is important that you like, comment, subscribe and share our videos so that Youtube will actively promote them.  This hop feat...

Happy Birthday Green Polka Dots Shaker Card

Welcome to another "Cards by Kendra" blog post! I made this quick, fun birthday shaker card for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #137 I used the green polka dot paper from the Over the Rainbow Paper Pack with a Chocolate cardstock frame on white 110# heavyweight cardstock (cut to A2 size, top fold). The Happy Birthday Circle Die was cut from green cardstock and then I layered it on top of a lighter green cardstock. I had a slightly bigger circle die that I used to cut another frame from the chocolate color cardstock. I used a lemon color cardstock on the backside, which is what shows through the shaker pouch. I filled the shaker pouch with iridescent and gold sequins. I added a matching brown ribbon and a lemon and gold twine bow to finish the card.  I hope you like it!  P lease leave a comment and let me know what you think!  I'd love to read your comments!   Thanks! ~Kendra Morgan Please visit my website  www.cardsbykendra.c...

Message in a Bottle Beach Watercolor Wash Background Handmade Shaker Card - My Favorite Things

Welcome to a new "Cards by Kendra" blog post! Today, I'm excited to share this handmade shaker card I recently created for the March 2020 card swap in the Facebook group "Card Swaps for All Seasons".  The theme was "Husband Appreciation".  I had a hard time with this theme at first. I didn't really know where to start.  I ordered some new products from My Favorite Things, including the Message in a Bottle die set, and I just couldn't wait to use it! So rather than going with a masculine theme, I decided to go with a beach theme so I could use my new die set.  I think this card would work for either gender (what do you think?).  For the background, I used Stampin' Write markers on an acrylic block to create a watercolor wash look in beach colors. For the bottom part, I colored quite of a bit of the bottom of a Stampin' Up clear acrylic block "E" using the crumb cake marker and then a very small line of soft suede a...

Watercolor Distress Torn Birthday Cake Scented Shaker Card made with Aroma Beads

Welcome to a new Cards By Kendra blog post!   Today I wanted to share this card that I made for a card swap with a watercolor theme for the Facebook Group "Card Swaps for All Seasons".  I've been experimenting with a lot of different types of ink lately and for this card I used several different techniques using watercolor pencils, Distress Oxide Inks and Distress Spray. The watercolor frame was made using three of my favorite colors of distress oxide inks on watercolor paper using a smooshing technique (I found a video for this on YouTube a while back).  I used the following Distress Oxide ink colors:   squeezed lemonade , twisted citron and mermaid lagoon .  After letting this dry overnight I used the largest die and then two sizes smaller to make the frame from the torn edge rectangle die set .  Next, I used a die that had small holes in it on a piece of clear acetate that was cut just slightly bigger than the smaller rectangle die. ...
