Welcome Baby Tri-fold Split Card - Using Alcohol Inks on Glitter Paper - #TeamTinyNewBeginnings Hop

I'm excited to be a part of the Team Tiny New Beginnings hop where members of the Team Tiny facebook group are sharing creations with the NEW BEGINNINGS theme - which could be a New Year’s card, a wedding card or a baby card or anything that falls under new beginnings.  

Today, I’m sharing this trifold baby card that I made using alcohol inks on glitter paper to create the ombre letters.  

The patterned paper is Doodlebug Design’s Bundle of Joy paper pad. The matching cardstock is So Saffron by Stampin' Up. I’m using MFT Stamps Impact alphabet dies.  

I cut down a piece of white glitter paper to 6”x6”.  On the alcohol ink applicator add a little bit of alcohol ink blending solution to the felt pad and then add enchanted alcohol pearls ink to it.  Next, apply Lemonade alcohol ink and overlap it with the pink to create a peachy orange color.   Then add the green color Envy alcohol pearls ink. With the pearls, you want to make sure they are shaken up really good. You should hear the ball moving around when you shake it.  

Take a sheet of 110# neenah solar white cardstock and cut in half create two A2 side folding cards. Score each down the middle at 4 ¼” with a bone folder on a scoring board.  You will glue these together to make it a trifold card. Before doing this, trim off ⅛” from one of the edges so that it closes and they line up correctly.  

To make this a split card, take the one that was not trimmed off and cut out a portion from the middle.  Line up the score line on your trimmer at 1 - ¾” and cut it off and then take the bottom piece that was cut off and trim this down to 1 - ½” so that it will leave a 1 inch gap in between.  Take the yellow cardstock and cut the frames for the front of the card.  The top part frame is cut to 1-⅝” and 5-⅜” and the bottom frame is cut to 1-⅜” x 5 - ⅜”.  The patterned paper is cut to 1-½” x 5-¼”  for the top and 1-¼” x 5-¼” for the bottom.  For the inside of the card, the frame is cut to 4-⅛” x 5-⅜” and the other sheet of patterned paper is cut to 4 x 5-¼”.
