Welcome to a new "Cards by Kendra" blog post!
My plan for these handmade cards to make separate posts and create tutorial videos didn't exactly go the way I wanted it to. I had two weeks right after the schools closed due to the corona virus pandemic to get really creative, make some handmade cards and enjoy crafting! But then virtual school started. I'm a 7th grade math teacher and I was NOT prepared for all the work involved. I have been working 12 hour days and I'm exhausted! So I'm doing good just to even make this blog one blog post featuring all the different cards I made for April 2020's Card Swaps for the Facebook Group "Card Swaps for All Seasons". I've already shared with you the "Rainy Days" themed card. I signed up for 8 swaps and I've finished 7 so far. I'm still working on one more. Here's what I've sent so far:
This handmade card is for the Mother's Day themed swap:
This is the handmade card for the Scraps themed swap:
This is a tri-fold shutter card that I made for the "May Flowers" themed swap:
If you'd like for me to post the details on how I made this tri-fold shutter card, let me know in the comments!
This turtle "Gel Well" card is for one of the Stampin' Up themed cards I made. It was created with the "Back on Your Feet" stamp set using the Gatefold technique. I just love the turtle on his back! My very first video tutorial EVER posted on YouTube is how to make this type of card. You can view it here: https://youtu.be/t0IbYSshkYg
Since I signed up for two Stampin' Up card swaps, I decided to use another one of my favorite folding techniques. This quick & easy fun fold card was made using the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set and Magnolia Lane designer series paper. If you'd like for me to post how I made this fun fold card, let me know in the comments!
For the "Honey Bee" themed swap, I made this handmade card using the Detailed Bees dies and Honey Bee stamp set from Stampin' Up.

I embossed the hive stamped image using clear embossing powder after stamping it with Black Ranger Archival Ink. I used the "Thinking of You" word dies from Sizzix. Click Here for a detailed product list of what I used to make the following card (some products contain affiliate links where I make a small commission if you purchase).
I have one more card to make to finish out my card swaps for this month. The theme is "Color: Pastels". I'm hoping to have some time this weekend to work on it. I will create a new blog post with details about it once I get it finished. Like I said earlier, I had hoped to create tutorials and post these individually but I just haven't had enough time! If you'd like to know how I made them, please comment below and I will work on it!
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my post! I hope you like my cards! Please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think!
